Faculty at AIM-Prime, training & guidance program for deep tech startups, initiative of Atal Innovation Mission and Niti Aayog implemented by Venture Center, Pune.
Headed new product development for trauma, oncology and hip replacement for APAC region, 20-member team, USD 1m budget. Launched four new products in five years within budgets and targeted timelines. Implemented effective project management within a crossfunctional, multi-national, multi-locational project team. Developed and implemented design control procedure as per revised MDR that was adopted as model for implementation across sites.
Headed Design, Quality and Regulatory Functions. Implemented structured D&D methodology, cross functional teams, ‘first time right’ culture for execution efficiency. Started in-house design verification including computational modeling and testing. Implemented GD&T across team and manufacturing organization. Launched 3 new products that contributed to successful clinical outcomes for 15000+ patients between 2012 – 2018. Designed innovative locking plate system for fractures that was granted patents in U.S, EU, Japan.
Joined in start-up stage, grew business from $150k in 1993 to $3.6m by 2009. Established strong brand image and presence across India and 29 other countries. Developed KOL relationships that led to strong clinician driven product development.
